Our Community Initiative

Our Goal

In Hinton, West Virginia, we offer available government land reuse lots for sale, aiming to enhance community development. Detailed information and photographs of each lot are accessible on this site, promoting transparency and accessibility. Residents are encouraged to submit creative proposals for these parcels, fostering innovative uses for the land. Our mission is to revitalize spaces and empower community-driven projects.

The West Virginia Land Reuse Agency Authorization Act of 2014 (W. Va. Code §31-18E-1, et seq.), was passed to confront the problems caused by vacant, abandoned and tax-delinquent properties. Land reuse agencies (or “land banks”), are one of the tools that municipalities and counties may use to facilitate the return of problem properties to productive use. Hinton established their Land Reuse Agency May 24, 2022.
